What is SIGame

SIGame is a computer version of Svoya Igra: the same board with topics and question prices, the same fight for the button, but gathered not in a studio, but over the network from four different cities. The program is written by Vladimir Khil.

The name is written differently — SIGame, "SI Game", "sigame", sometimes just "svoyak". The game behind all these words is the same.

How to play right now without installing anything

The game has a browser version: sigame.vladimirkhil.com. It only asks for a name — then you can create a game and invite your friends with a link. No installation or registration required.

From any card on this site, the same thing is done with one click: the "Play" button opens the browser version with the pack already loaded, you just need to send the link.

How to install SIGame on your computer

The desktop version works on Windows 10 and newer, and you can get it in three ways from author's game page: on Steam, in the Microsoft Store, or via a standalone installer. The game is the same in all three — the difference is where updates come from later.

It's worth installing if you play from one computer and show questions on a TV, if you want to keep packs locally, or if you're going to create your own: a question editor is built into the game.

What is a pack and a .siq file

A pack is a set of questions for one game: several rounds, each with multiple topics, each topic having questions with a price. Packs are created by players themselves, not the game developer — that's why there are thousands of them: about anime, Dota, movies, memes, anything.

The pack is in a file with the extension .siq. The downloaded file is added to the game via its own menu item, after which the pack appears in the list. By itself .siq — a regular zip archive with questions, images, and audio inside, but you don't need to unpack it manually: the game reads it as is.

How many people are needed and who hosts

Usually 3 to 5 people play, but even alone you have company: the game has bots, and they answer seriously.

The host doesn't have to be a real person: the program can host the game itself, show questions, and score answers. A live host is needed when a pack has many open-ended questions and someone needs to judge controversial ones — the machine doesn't understand "almost guessed".

Where to get packs

That's what FirePacks is for. It collects what authors post on VK: each pack shows its topics, number of questions, and difficulty — calculated from real game statistics, not the author's checkmark.
